Our supplier has a network of farmers throughout the region who have their own bee hives on their farms. The reason why this is important is because bees need space to have enough flowering space in their area. The general rule is that each hive has a 3km radius before the next beehive to ensure the colonies are not densely populated.The bee hives that farmers place on their farms are designed so that when a bee is moving through the hive, the excess pollen drops into a tray which is then collected by the farmers.Once the supplier receives the pollen from the farmers the pollen is naturally moist and fragile.
