Description
Lycopene is an open chain unsaturated carotenoid that gives tomatoes, guava, rose hip, watermelon and pink grapefruit its red color. Studies show that lycopene intake is significantly associated with lower risk of lung, colon and stomach carcinogenesis. It is an antioxidant.
