STORAGE
Store in a well-ventilated, cool, dry area, out of direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.
Antimicrobial Activity
IPBC is very effective against yeasts and molds, also provides some protection against bacteria.
APPLICATIONS
IPBC is an excellent preservative for both leave-on and rinse-off products such as creams, lotions, shampoos, rinses, bubble baths, wipes and towelettes, etc., and raw materials. It exhibits the following features and benefits:
Extremely effective fungicide at low concentrations
Compatible with essentially all cosmetic ingredients
Synergistic with other preservatives to provide broad spectrum preservation
Stable over a wide range of pH(4~10)
Can be added into the oil phase or the emulsified portion at any stage of the manufacturing process; also pre-solubilized in a polar organic component. And should be at the lowest temperature (≤50℃) if possible.
The recommended use level is 0.005~0.02%
