| Message: | Recently, Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Materials Co., Ltd. (NTXC), the important engineering plastics production and R&D site owned by China National Bluestar Group, has introduced a spinning grade PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) resin with the grade of Starester®1100FS, which is mainly applied in elastic fiber spinning.
Compared with traditional polymer fibers such as Nylon, Spandex and PET, PBT resin with fiber spinning grade has distinct features, such as excellent durability, dimension stability, elasticity and excellent dye-ability. It exhibits bright colors and has excellent color fastness after being dyed. After being compounded with polyester or other fibers, it may achieve superior elasticity, soft handfeel, comfort, and bright color. It is ideal material for wool-like and cashmere-like products
Since the middle of 2015, PBT elastic fiber market has grown rapidly in China, and more and more downstream customers have applied PBT to produce core spun yarns (POY/DTY) to widely substitute Nylon, Spandex and others in traditional chemical fiber market. This makes a new and strong growth for PBT industry.
With the further improved polymerization technology to precisely construct the crystallization and rheology of the PBT resin, Starester®1100FS achieves excellent elasticity after melt spinning. The PBT chips have good spinnability and can be used for spinning with the existing polyester equipment. Starester®1100FS meets the requirements of customers for long-term, high-speed and stable spinning. Moreover, there is no dripping, breakage, and drift across a wide temperature range.
