Exemption regulations state that under certain conditions, some products may be imported without a CCC certificate or other documentation that is typically required.
These exemption regulations apply to products under the following criteria: Products that are used for scientific purposes and product testing; Products that are displayed at trade fairs; Products that are exported again; Products that are processed in China and, as part of a larger product, exported; Products that are imported in low volumes.
However, applications for such exemptions are difficult and frequently denied. Additionally, it can be burdensome to provide all the requested documentation while still facing the risk that customs questions the exemption.
