Description:
1). Tibolone is a synthetic steroid hormone drug that is nonselective in its binding profile and is primarily used as an agonist for estrogen receptors, with preference for ERα. It is mainly used for the treatment of endometriosis, as well as postmenopausal women hormone replacement therapy. Tibolone has similar or higher efficacy compared to older hormone replacement drugs, but has similar side effects. It was also investigated as a possible treatment for female sexual dysfunction.
