carthamin yellow (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a highly branched, herbaceous, thistle-like annual plant. Other names include Sallflower, Beni, Chimichanga, or Carthamus tinctorius and in Pashto it is called Kareza (as it is found abundantly in Afghanistan and Tribal belts of Pakistan).
