Steven M. Rubin dedicates his profession to promoting the rights of individuals in the workplace. He earned a degree Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University right before entering USC Law Center where he graduated in 1979 when he 1st became a member of the State Bar of California. He is accepted to practice in federal courts throughout the State as well as the United States Supreme Court. He exercised international and regulatory law for several years before ultimately establishing his own employment law practice in Los Angeles exclusively standing for employees. For over 20 years he has been filing lawsuits in behalf of employees in state and federal courts throughout California in wrongful termination, disability and cancer discrimination, gender and pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation and employee wage-hour disputes (e.g., misclassification and unpaid overtime). He has been involved in bringing a top workplace wage and hour case before the California Supreme Court. He has successfully handled hundreds of severance negotiations, and regularly litigates discrimination, whistleblower and sexual harassment cases into substantial cash award settlements for his clients, often early enough in the process so that the benefits are appreciated without the costs, uncertainty and anxiety that accompanies years of trial and appellate litigation. A few recent settlements are listed here. Clients often feel empowered by their experience as explained here.
Steve basically deals with arbitrations under a variety of providers such as AAA, ADR, and Jams; and has wide experience with mediation and creative strategies to alternate dispute resolution. Above all, he has revealed a special aptitude for creatively and efficiently bringing employers to the table to participate in the early negotiation of disputes. |
