Her residency training consisted of an internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas, and then completion of her dermatology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is a board licensed dermatologist and belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology. She is additionally a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Dermatological Society and the American Society of Dermatological Surgeons.
