- The Scioto Foundation, developed in 1974, is a 501( c)( 3) nonprofit neighborhood foundation based in Portsmouth, Ohio. It manages over 350 endowment funds produced by individuals, family members, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, all dedicated to enhancing the lifestyle in Scioto County and the surrounding region. With properties exceeding $53 million, the foundation has awarded approximately $30 million in gives and scholarships given that its creation.
