Indications:
Ciprofloxacin is indicated in the irealment of wide variety of mixed infections
caused by send;iiive Gram-posiiive und Gram-negulive organisms, Ciprofloxacin Injection is
used if oral therapy is incffcctivc of not possible in chc treatment of severe forms of the
bllowing infections:
infections of the upper and lower respiralory tract e.g. however,infections due to
Streptococcus pneumoniae or Streptococcus pyogenes,may require a higher dose.
Children:
- It is generally not recoinmeiKied if oiher drug� are available,
compassionate use, and use under emergency conditions has shown that its risk in children has been overrated.
Adverse Effects:
Nausea, epigastric distress, headache vomiting. diarrhoea, restlessness,and abdominal pain,skin rash and arthralgia.
Warnings:
Make sure your doctor knows if yon are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a
History of heart disease,heart rhythm problems,kidney disease,hypokalemia(low
blood potassium), stroke, or seizure disorder(such as epilepsy).
Your doctor will need to check your blood or urine at regular visits while you are using
this medicine Be sure to keep all appointments.
This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight,. Use a sunscreen when you
are outdoors. Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.
Call your doctor if you have pain, swelling,or learing of a tendon, such as in the back of
your knee or ankle,, in your shoulder or elbow, or in your hand or wrist. You may need
to stop using the medicine.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store away from light and humidity in a cool place.Keep out of the reach of children.
