Message: | Tris is a white crystalline powder with good water solubility. It is soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, benzene and water, insoluble in ether and carbon tetrachloride, and has corrosive effect on copper and aluminum. When it is used as biological buffer and reference material for ACIDOMETRIC titration, the purity requirement is high. However, at present, the preparation of standard level trimethylaminomethane is not perfect. The commonly used method is to dissolve industrial grade trimethylamine methane in distilled water and recrystallize it for many times to prepare reference grade trimethylamine methane. This method has the disadvantages of complex process, small output, poor uniformity and high cost in the production of kilogram batch products, and the material discoloration or decomposition caused by too high temperature in the concentration process leads to the reduction of product qualification rate.
